Permanent Tooth Loss Solution
What Are Dental Implant Restorations?
Dental implants offer a superior and more stable alternative to traditional bridges and dentures for replacing missing or extracted teeth. A dental implant system consists of two main parts: the implant post, which acts as a prosthetic tooth root, and the implant restoration, which replaces the visible crown of your tooth. Once the implant post has been surgically placed and has fully integrated with your jawbone (a process called osseointegration), you are ready for the final step: the dental implant restoration.
Depending on your individual needs and the number of teeth being replaced, your implant restoration could be a custom dental crown, a multi-tooth dental bridge, or even a complete or partial denture. Dr. Jin will work closely with you to determine the ideal restoration that suits your smile and oral health goals. With our in-house CEREC technology, we can often design and create your personalized restoration during a single appointment, saving you time and ensuring a precise fit.
The process for attaching your dental implant restoration is straightforward. For example, with a dental crown, a small connector piece called an abutment will be securely attached to the implant post. The custom-fabricated crown is then meticulously placed over the abutment and secured. Our team will provide you with clear post-procedure instructions to ensure a smooth recovery and long-lasting results.
